Overview

Rust+ Companion is the official Rust+ companion browser extension for Rust players. It puts server status, the island map, team chat, smart devices, alarms and Facepunch news into one compact popup, so you can keep an eye on your base without picking up your phone.

Six modules, one popup, styled after the Rust+ look. Free for personal use.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. Rust+ Companion is the official companion project for desktop browser control, published by a verified publisher with a good reputation. Facepunch Studios and Rust are registered trademarks of Facepunch Studios Ltd.
No. The companion uses its own login flow: your Steam password is never entered on this site and is never passed to the extension. Only public profile data (SteamID64, nickname, avatar) is needed — the companion never asks for logins, passwords or two-factor codes.
No. The companion is a fully external web tool: it does not modify game files or memory, does not interfere with game processes, and works through the same Rust+ interface as your phone. From the game's point of view nothing changes — you simply see the same data in your browser. Play fair on your servers and you are fine.
The extension is completely free for personal use by Rust players.
